2. Unorthodox Reviews
Unorthodox Reviews is a music, culture and lifestyle blog with a very strong presence on social media, especially Instagram.
It was created by Unorthodox Media on 18th April 2016 and has grown steadily ever since, now being a force to be reckoned with in terms of African arts and entertainment.
They are widely known for their unorthodox style of writing reviews on Afrobeats, Hip-hop, Alté, Amapiano and African music.
3. TXT
This is a collective of nerds who decided to share their curiosity for culture and their goal is to push traffic to the very best of creativity in music, fashion, art and film.
They can boast of a great followership on social media.
4. Top Charts Africa
This is a leading pop culture brand that is focused on shining a light on African creatives as they continue to make their mark around the globe. Created in September 2020, The Top Charts has since become one of the fastest-growing pop culture platforms in the continent.
Their presence on social media can not be denied specifically its social chart which ranks the most talked about personalities in Africa weekly.
5. The49thstreet
They are the street to everything African creativity. Here they bring to you, the best of African music, fashion and art. The brand is African, by Africans and for Africans. The brand started operations in September 2019.
6. Turntable Charts
This is Nigeria’s official music chart, it combines single sales (digital and physical), radio airplay, and online streaming activity (including data from YouTube, Boomplay Music, Audiomack, Apple Music, Deezer and Spotify).
They are very active on social media and give accurate statistics about music data in the Nigerian music scene. It was established on 3 July 2020 by TurnTable magazine with its weekly official chart TurnTable Top 50, first led by Wizkid “Ginger” featuring Burna Boy, on the number one spot.
7. Just Vibes
This is a YouTube channel that celebrates Afrobeats and shares it with the world. It is hosted by Vivz, who is a self-described Afrobeats reviewer. She creates videos that discuss new releases, interviews artists, and reviews albums.
Vivz started JustVibes in 2019 as a way to share her love of Afrobeats with others. She wanted to create a space where people could come to learn about the genre and discover new music.
The channel has grown rapidly since its inception, and it now has over 81,000 subscribers. Vivz’s videos have been featured on major media outlets, such as OkayAfrica, Pulse Nigeria, and Afrobeats Planet. He is a media personality who offers Afrocentric music commentary. He started his channel on Sep 21, 2020, and has over 11,000 subscribers on YouTube.
He is a valuable resource for anyone interested in Afrobeats. His livestream NEW MUSIC FRIDAY are informative and entertaining, and they provide a great way to learn about the genre.

This digital media platform has been providing valuable news, lifestyle, entertainment, and business content for Nigerians and Africans worldwide since its establishment in 2011.
Pulse Nigeria covers a wide range of topics, including politics, sports, fashion, technology, and culture. They also have a strong focus on social media.
10. Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast
This podcast explores African music and its creative network in cities like Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, and Johannesburg.
